Holiday Cottages in St Ives

One Ayr Lane       SLEEPS 4       heart of St Ives

Perfectly located in the heart of St Ives

Opposite the Barbara Hepworth Museum and set back on a quiet corner, this is a great property to experience being right in the heart of the old town, minutes away from the  beaches, the galleries, restaurants, harbour area and shops, whilst enjoying a quiet location.

Unusually for the centre of St Ives there is an outside sun-trap terrace garden with a decked seating and outside dining area, tropically planted raised beds and a hot outdoor shower - ideal when returning from the beach - with great views down the cobbled lane towards the church and sea beyond from the beach-style cedar-clad heated summer house within the garden.

The interior of the cottage has a contemporary, bright, light-filled coastal feel, with natural wood and limestone flooring, white painted floorboards in both bedrooms.

"The house is ideally situated, not just in the town centre but so close to all of the many beaches, which we found wonderful".

"We loved our stay at One Ayr lane. The cottage is perfectly located in the heart of St Ives yet it still feels like a little haven to escape back to at the end of the day. A lovely warm and cosy feel makes it a great base to explore from".

The cottage has a contemporary yet cosy feel and  is a great relaxing  retreat for couples.  It has also proved popular with families with children of all ages. For older children the location is great for spending time around the town and beaches - the surfing beach is a 5 minute walk away with a hot outdoor shower for when they return, and for younger children the garden is enclosed and the easy access to town and beaches make it easy to nip back to the cottage during the day for naps etc. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. The summer house is also a great look-out play area for kids -with a seating area and table for dining or activities. Buckets and spades are provided as standard for your holiday use!

CAR PARKING: The nearest car park is Barnoon  Car Park which is just minutes away from the cottage. Weekly parking tickets can be purchased on arrival for around  £35. There are also several other town car parks, but this is the most convenient for the cottage.

Check in times and Driving directions

Follow the A30 to St Ives, As you approach the town you will reach a Tesco store with a roundabout. Go straight ahead down the hill towards the town. When you see the Harbour Hotel on your right the road forks. Take the left fork and follow the road as it weaves its way up a hill and around a residential area towards the Leisure Centre. Go past the Leisure Centre until you reach 2 mini roundabouts. Take the first exit then the second exit and follow road signs marked Tate Gallery. Follow this road as it weaves around another residential area. When you pass Ayr Store shop on your left the road forks sharply to the left (this takes you to the Tate and Porthmeor Beach). Do not turn left but follow the right fork past Barnoon Cemetry to Barnoon Car Park 50 metres away. This is the most convenient car park and is a 3 minute walk away from One Ayr Lane.
